I had my
birthday on December 11th! Check out my 1st
Birthday page to see pictures from the party! The week before my
birthday I started WALKING!! It is so fun! I just love to see
how excited everyone gets when I walk. On December 14th I had my 1 year
checkup! I just keep growing! Dr. Heflin says I'm doing great! I still
can't say much that sounds like real words but I do say "Mama",
"Dada/Daddy", "Uh-Oh", something that sounds like
baby and on rare occasions I can get "Katie" out! I've also
figured out how to throw a tantrum. I seem to be the only one that likes
it, though. :) Christmas this year was lots of fun! I already got tons
of stuff for my birthday but now I'm really loaded with toys! We had
a big Christmas dinner at our house and I enjoyed spending time with
my family! Then we had another Christmas on the 26th when my sister
came home! I let my her open my presents for me and then I played with
them.

Here it is January. I'm 13 months old and I'm finally getting my FIRST TOOTH!! It's the upper left central incisor. Won't that be funny looking?? Haha. One tooth hanging off the top. I guess Mommy won't have many pictures for me at 13 months. She says she didn't have any film and hadn't gotten out to get any. As if we don't have enough pictures of me anyway! But she does want to get one of me showing off my new teeth! January 17, 1999 - Here I am saying one of my favorite words! |

It's February
11, 1999 and I'm 14 months old! In the past week, 2 more teeth have
broken through. My upper right central incisor and my lower left central
incisor. I have also started saying a few more words, like "Laa-Laa,
Disy" in a sing-song voice. I say "Woof" when I see a
dog and when I bonk my head I put my hand up on my head and say, "Ooh!"
March 6, 1999 was an exciting day! We got to meet some of our friends
from the Nov/Dec97 Babies List! We met at a restaurant and then some
of us went to the zoo. It was really neat to meet all the mommies (and
daddies!) and toddlers. I have also added tons of words to my vocabulary.
I can say things like "bird", "ball", "Po",
"baby", "bye-bye" and "Ow!". I also LOVE
to sing! I can sing "Bah, bah, Black Sheep", "Itsy Bitsy
Spider" and "Pat-a-Cake".. I keep the family well entertained.

Boy have
I become a handful. Mommy and Daddy have a hard time keeping up with
me! I am also such a chatterbox! I love to talk. But I especially like
to sing. I even make up my own songs. :) Mommy put my hair in pigtails
for the first time. She had to do it while I was still in the bathtub
so I wouldn't run away. I eventually pulled them out! :) I also got
my first haircut at 17 months old. I did very well. They played a Teletubbie
video tape for me and I got to sit in this cool red car. The day before
I turned 18 months old, Mommy and Grandpa took me and Katie to see "The
3 Little Pigs". It was hard to sit still for too long but I did
very well! We all enjoyed it a lot.
